I ended January the same way I began it, in one respect- with coffee. The latte photos weren't as nice as the Jack though, so Jack it is.

I have so many beautiful pictures from today, I had a very hard time choosing one. This one is a little monochromatic in comparison to some of the others I loved, but I found her face just too compelling to resist.

Mt Auburn Cemetery is gorgeous, for the record.

Day 25

Argh! Fail again! This time not because I forgot to take pictures, but because I have butterfingers. :(

I dropped my camera while putting it back in it's case, and while the initial damage seemed purely cosmetic, it actually appears that I mucked up the insides. Very, VERY luckily for me, I learned my lesson last time, and purchased the extended warranty on this one. I've passed it off to some folks who should be able to fix it, thankfully.. but that means I was camera-less today.

As for the future of the blog- fear not, photo-enthusiasts! I will be getting a camera on loan from my dear Carrie. Interestingly, while at glance a better camera, hers does seem to be without any discernible macro setting. I think this will challenge me over the next few weeks, since I won't be able to cop out by taking pictures of mundane things up close to make them look cool!

So, expect an update tomorrow!!

Considering that there was/is about two feet of snow extending three or so feet out from this sign, both in front and to the side- I don't really think it's going to be much of a problem!!

They rarely hold still enough to make a good photograph, but I thought capturing fish would be fun. Mostly what I ended up with was a lot of tail. ;)

Pretty! I bought these not too long ago, and much to my dismay, they're almost too big for me now. They slip off my wrist too easily.

Whoops, I fell behind! I actually wasn't able to take any pictures on the 17th, so instead I present you with the image on my next tattoo. When it's inked I'll replace this with a photo of the finished product.

It was COLD here today. I started out photographing all the coats/sweatshirts/scarves etc.. that were piled onto our little rack in the breakroom at work, but in the end, I liked this one of someone's hat better.

Today I took a road trip with Carrie, my photo-coach. We decided to abandon the cityscapes we've been playing with, and the small everyday things, in favor of the gorgeous New Hampshire outdoors! I took a TON of pictures that were beautiful, but I really liked this one.

Not two minutes after I took this, I displayed my customary grace for all the world to see by slipping on this iced over lake and nearly breaking my camera! Lucky for us all, I didn't.

The coaster I was given at my birthday dinner. It thought it was wonderfully apropos! I now feel like I've eaten more food than I ever should, but it was a fabulous evening. Thanks all!

I work at work... really. Swear. The fuzzies are the pillows on our breakroom couch, the face my photo-coach. I think she was laughing at me.
