So, I'm actually finding that taking a photo a day is much harder than I thought it would be. Especially on days like today, when I feel under the weather and generally yuck, it's really hard to find anything beautiful at all.

So, because we don't check the weather.. EVER apparently, our day in Vermont was a very snowy one. This was actually not really a problem, except for the fact that it made getting my car out of parking spots a little.. fun.

Anyway, I really liked these snow laden branches, and the way the berries stood out so red against the sky.

Day 52

So, I FINALLY got my camera back from geek squad. Right in time to use it for my weekend trip to Vermont and New Hampshire. Things seemed to be falling into place.... until we got up there and I realized that I'd left the memory card at home! My camera apparently has capacity for about seven photos without that thingy, so all I got from Saturday is some lame and slightly blurry pictures of fruit!

From there on out, I used Carrie's camera again. Oh well.

I had trouble deciding which shot from today to use- they were all action figures. I went into Comicazi this afternoon, intending to only be there for a few minutes. The problem with that place (and it really isn't a problem) is that the owner is really cool, and we always end up just shooting the shit for an hour. Towards the end of my visit, I started snapping photos of his action figures. I decided to use this one of Death, partly because I love her, and partly because I like the faintly over-white, washed out look it has.

The light makes my girlfriend into an elf. I should have learned this trick years ago!! ;)

When all else fails, take a picture of a cute dog. I'd have loved to capture the dogs I was dog sitting for, but one of them was so terrified of cameras, she'd pee in the bathroom if I so much as took it out of my bag. Oh well. :)

A mint brownie as a peace offering.. someone has good taste! A very nice gentleman snagged a table at Diesel right out from under Carrie's nose. When she realized that he and his girl were having dinner as opposed to just coffee, she happily let them have it. Coffee needs much less space. By way of thank you, he brought us a brownie. I let Carrie and Court go at it, and managed not to have more than one small bite. Hooray willpower!

What I like about this is that the facet that is facing us looks more real than those that aren't. Because they're reflective, they have this insubstantial thing going on. It's sort of cool.

I had an adventure today that included the Aquarium. I took SO many photos, and more than a few of them were really cool. Choosing just one to represent my day was difficult, but in the end I had to go with where my heart lies- the sea turtles. This guy and his friend obliged me be repeatedly swimming by me as I sat on the floor next to their tank taking pictures.
